As we program many songs ourselves we are confident we have more choice than any the dance machine on the hire market. Lift access must be available where there are flights of steps involved.

1. What is the Dance Mats Machine game?

Just like the dance mats game found in arcades it’s a two player game where the participants tap the arrows on the dance pads in time to the corresponding arrows displayed on the screen of the game.

2. How does the game work?

Firstly you select the song you want played from the menu of the game and select which difficulty level you want to play the game at. The two players then stand in the centre of the two dance pads and after a few seconds the chosen song will start to play. The direction arrows scroll upwards from the bottom of the screen and you need to tap the corresponding arrows on the dance pad exactly as the instruction arrows scroll under a target silhouette at the top of the screen - it’s all about timing. You’ll have a mix of single steps, hold downs, and jumps all timed to the beat of the music. You score points depending on the timing accuracy of your steps and how many and how long your combinations are - combinations are how many times you successfully tap the correct pad arrow at the right time in succession. At the end of the song the scores for both players are shown so you can see who did best.

Our dance machine has over eighty tunes to choose from. There really is something for everyone and every age - from 80’s classics, 90’s dance floor fillers, 00’s anthems, right up to the current day.

4. How much space and what access is required?

You’ll need an overall operating space of 2.4 x 2.4m. If the venue isn’t on the ground floor or if there are steps involved lift or ramp access will be required.

5. How loud is the game?

The volume is fully adjustable so can be varied depending on the surroundings. We generally find it’s better with the games built in speaker system as those watching or waiting to take part feel more involved (and are often spotted practicing their own steps) but if you have other music in the same room, or just want a quieter environment, we also bring along some pairs of bluetooth headphones that can be used instead.

6. What type of event can this game be used at?

The dance mats machine really, really popular for weddings especially in the gap between the wedding breakfast and the first dance. It’s also popular for evening time corporate social events, special celebrations of all types, and school socials.

7. Who can use the dance mats machine?

The dance mats machine can be played by users age 8 to adult.

8. Do you deliver and setup the game?

Yes - we deliver the game to your venue set it up. We provide a friendly member of staff who will look after the running of the game for you ensuring everyone knows how to play, help users find their favourite tunes, and adjust the volume where necessary depending on how loud the room is.

9. What is included in the hire price?

If you contact us with your required event date, timings, and event location we’ll provide you with a quote that includes the hire and delivery costs where applicable. The game is supplied staffed as standard. We normally use the game with it's built in speaker system so everyone around can hear exactly what the players are dancing to but we also bring along some pairs of headphones that can be used with the game if there’s other music in the same room so they don’t clash.

10. What areas do you cover for dance mats machine hire?

We’re based in Lichfield which is just north of Birmingham and we generally supply our dance mats machine to events in the central UK area so that includes Birmingham, Derby, Lichfield, Tamworth, Solihull, Stafford, Stoke on Trent, Telford, Coventry, Warwick, and Worcester. We’re happy to travel further afield so even if you’re not in these areas just ask.
